We Wear: High waisted denim and leopard

I know, this outfit is not entirely current season approved, but I actually wore it merely two weeks ago. Yep, the Indian summer's last convulses hit us hard that particular weekend - and it seems that this weekend we'll be experiencing some more lovely weather. It may have been a warm weekend when these pictures were taken, if you look at the pictures you can definitely tell summer had already left the building. As a result, the light was either too much or too little, which made taking pictures pretty hard. However, that kind of weather gives and takes, consequently leading to inadvertently awesome or not so awesome pictures. Either way, I have to say I quite love how the pictures turned out. And whatever the pictures, my inner 90s child was happy it could come out and play once more.

Blouse: Stradivarius - Slip-ons: some store in Lisbon - Crop top: H&M - Tote bag: Titi and the German Kid - Ripped denim: Bershka - Sunglasses: Vans

Different topic. Of course you all know, October equals Halloween equals ONLYTHEBESTTIMEOFTHEYEAR - although I have been known to say that every month or so about different occasions. But seriously, I have said it a thousand times and I will say it a thousand more: I love dressing up and I love the gloomy, scary vibe of Halloween. This year's outfit is gonna kick monkey balls!  I will have to leave you guys in suspense until after the weekend though, but you can check out my Instagram (@sneilorak) for a sneak peek. Also, check out this and this if you need some inspiration.

We Love: Paplou

As we mentioned before, Karolien and I featured in a mini photoshoot for Paplou. When Klara asked us, I didn't know what to say at first. I'm no model you know. But I'm glad we eventually agreed to put our model faces on for a day as we ended up having loads of fun (and a gift card and free cava, I do a lot for free cava). It also helped that the owners of Paplou are the nicest girls (and they're sisters!) and sell a bunch of awesome clothes. I did feel like a pale dwarf next to these long-legged brunettes!

I'm no big talker today so I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Klara did the styling and our hair and the pictures and video are made by Sanne Rouma.

We Wear: Bare legs

You may have heard this roaring through the Belgian blogosphere, but we're experiencing one hell of an Indian summer around these latitudes. There are moments when fall and winter seem million miles away and this outfit was shot on one of those instances. When the temperature is high enough and the sun comes a-peeking, I cannot resist a good bare-legged outfit, even when it's October and my wish list is piling up knits and winter coats. My skin needs to breathe and be free as much as it possibly can.

Skirt: Sammydress - Bomber jacket: Louche (Paplou) - Denim shirt: Bershka - Sunglasses: Vans - Pistol boots: Sacha shoes - Necklace: Stradivarius - Purse: Primark

You may notice I'm wearing the same bomber jacket as Lies was in the previous post. Oops, we did it again: Knowingly buying the same item. This time it was for more than good reason though as we both fell head over heels in love with the jacket after featuring it in a fashion shoot for Paplou we did a few weeks ago (which we'll talk to you about in detail soon!). It is the perfect versatile piece with just enough edge to not make it too much of a basic item. No need to say, it has been glued to my body ever since I got it and is so easy to throw over something for an accomplished outlook.

We Wear: Cats (and some more leopard)

That's right, even more leopard, and I'm not even sorry. I'm a big fan of the feline family and leopard prints in particular. But I spotted this cat shirt at a local skate shop while the bf was browsing for a new shirt, and decided my outfits need a smaller feline. You know, to even things out.

To keep things all "in the family" I paired this shirt with my new leopard booties. Also because I tend to wear all my new stuff immediately and I bought these (including bomber jack) within a time span of two days. The booties and vest are from Paplou in Hasselt and I bought them after Karolien and myself featured in a mini fashion shoot they organised. We'll tell you more about that later, when we have actually received all of the pictures. But I can tell you already that it has been loads of fun and I'm excited to see the results! Paplou used to be a vintage / secondhand store and while they still have a vintage collection, they now also sell brands like Louche and Sugarhill Boutique. And don't worry when you think all those frilly dresses are not for you, because they have a lot more than just that! Also funny gadgets, defs worth a visit for Christmas. I have to be honest and tell you that I hadn't visited Paplou yet since its new owners, but I have a creeping suspicion that they haven't seen the last of me (I spotted a white and fluffy top and it's still on my mind).

We wear: A forest in a forest

Ah, October, one of my favorite months of the year, or at least from the darker half of the year. Finally time to watch the leafs change into their most vibrant outfits and cozying up in warm knits with a hot beverage. Not to mention the fact that Halloween is a-knocking, which, as I've stated before and will state again on numerous occasions, is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. If you want some inspiration on how to dress up for Halloween, check out my previous posts from the past years (here and here).

Blouse: Sheinside - Necklace: Stradivarius - Denim: old (H&M) - Sandals: Sammydress - Bag: Sister (Hasselt)

However, this Indian summer we're experiencing makes it abundantly clear that all that is not going to happen right away. Not that I'm complaining, I'm still every inch a summer beach girl. This does give us the possibility to merge two seasons that mostly do not transition smoothly into one. Hello sandals with an autumn inspired outfit or bare legs on the first of October (guilty as charged). I had been eyeing this shirt for such a long time and when it was discounted to 12 euros, I finally clicked it home. No idea why I've procrastinated for so long, because it is such a lovely piece. Come to think of it, it may be the color that put me off: Orange is not really at all my thing. I had also been on the lookout for some boyfriend denims, but something about my proportions/butt/head/whatever gives a really weird vibe. No luck in that department, but I did find in the back of my closet said pants: At one point in my life, these were (more) tight-fitting, but never really skinny pants. Now they are the perfect boyfriend inspired pants for somebody who can't seem to get away with the regular ones they're selling everywhere. Take home message: Kids, never throw anything out (please do and teach me how).
