We Wear: Black and White

Jacket, scarf, top: Zara - Skinnies, Chelsea Boots: H&M - Lipstick: Clinique (All Heart) - Watch: Urban Outfitters (Casio)

With all the coral and burgundy going on in my last outfit (awkward moment at the gas station when I realised I also matched my car), I felt the need to discover the other ends of the universe and color tones palette: black and white.

I attended two concerts wearing this attire and felt very rock 'n roll'ish, which in my book can only be a good thing. I don't wear lipstick often but I just really like the combo of rock 'n roll vibes with red lipstick. And yes, this time it really is lipstick and not cherry flavored chapstick.

I'm going to apologize in advance for the repeat of jumping / floating photos. I take my photos myself and I have to entertain myself, okay? After almost two years it still feels weird to smile at my tripod. Jumping up and down like a maniac on the other hand doesn't feel strange at all. I have a feeling I'm going to experiment with that some more. You should all check out the brilliant photos of this Japanese girl, she floats like a master!

Also, last year around this time I was dressed as a snow leopard. This year I'm not even wearing a jacket in all of my photos. WHAT'S GOING ON NATURE I WANT SNOOOOOOW! Or spring, I could settle for spring.

Taking off, me?

We Are Inspired: SS14 Mood board

With the end of February in sight and the sun popping up every now and then, yours truly is slowly starting to think about spring and summer. Over the past couple of weeks, I started pinning like crazy and thought I'd share some of my spring/summer mood board with you guys. Key words are 90's, denim, flowers, pink, dark colors, bare legs, chunky shoes, hats, sneakers...

May you feel as inspired as I'm feeling on this particular lovely Sunday afternoon!
Oh, and spring, will you hurry up already? Thanks!

Enjoy your Sunday!

I laughed so hard with this picture of Full House's Deejay.

We Wear: Lumberjack

This tartan flannel shirt in the prettiest shade of green is definitely one of my winter wardrobe staples. I seem to be reaching for it on days when everything's off, on days when I'm walking on clouds and everything in between. It is just such a versatile piece and can be used as the basis in endless - very differently styled - outfits. I can already respond affirmative on the possibility of transferring it to my spring attire.

Beanie: Choies - Tartan shirt, ring: Primark - Jeggings, necklace: H&M - Boots: Zara

The shoes however are quite a different story. Sure, they have all the necessities to be a real go-to: black, submerged in studs, high-heeled, ankle boots, eye catching in a not so obvious way... Except for one little, tiny, almost irrelevant - but oh so relevant - thing: They kill my feet. Seriously, my feet just started tingling by just looking at the pictures. If anyone has some good advice on how to deal with this, do share! I feel like they mostly hurt because the bottom is so freakin' hard, and I already tried these cushions but no luck whatsoever...

This picture expresses pretty much how I feel when I'm wearing them.

Currently craving for (fashion wise or other):
Snow or spring, either one will do.

We Wear: Monochrocoralburgundy

Apparently dressing up in the same hues is something I have done my whole life (read: since I was fourteen). Because some things never change, I decided to give it another try. It's not completely monochromatic, but I like the outcome anyway. Reds and pinks clearly are my favorites (some things really never change).

I remember wearing these Vans exactly a year ago while walking in the snow. We still haven't had any winter yet here in Belgium and that saddens me. I like a good walk in the snow! On the other hand: I am completely ready for spring, pastel hues and punkrock festivals (GROEZROCK!). But in my opinion, you can only really appreciate spring and the first warm rays of sunshine, when you have survived (dramatic much) a good winter with snow and freezing cold wind. And like, I'm not even wearing a coat in this outfit.

Cardigan, coral sweatshirt: H&M - Skinnies: New Look - Socks: Cos - Sneakers: Vans - Necklace: Market in Porto - Sunglasses: Carrera (Scherpesteen) - Scarf: Zara

Yes, there's a hole in my shoe.

We Wear: Despite Perfect Fashion

Leather jacket, scarf: Zara - Dress: Mango - Kicks: Nike Air Max - Necklace: H&M - Bag: Forever21

Maybe I could apologize for the big ladder in my tights, but actually why should I. This is how I went out last weekend, despite what my mom had to say about that, so it seemed only fair to show you this entire outfit. Ladder inclusive. Isn't that what fashion can be about: it's not at all perfect and you should also show the imperfections? Some may call it pitiful, I call it honesty. In the end it's all just a matter of perception.

I think the ladder works well with my safety pin embellished leather jacket. I say embellished but it's a necessity to keep my jacket together, it's had its best days. (I still love it.) The two of them together contrast perfect with my more preppy leopard dress and my crisp white kicks. Because a little drama and a little contrast has never hurt anyone. (I have a feeling I say that a lot.) It felt quite good to finally combine these kicks with a dress instead of with pants.

Oh and I'm not wearing lipstick. It's cherry flavored Labello (okay, you actually don't see that at all). There are some little things in life that can make me very happy and the smell of cherry Labello - or any other artificially enhanced cherry smells (like the candy oh my gooooood) - is one of those things. Same goes for anything coconutty. Coconutty. Nice.
