We Wear: Pastels in transition

Yes, we probably all feel pretty deceived by the weather gods. Giving us a taste of what spring just might feel like - or dare I say it, summer even- to just grab it right from under our noses a minute later. The end of March is approaching, Easter is already next weekend, but the temperature doesn't seem to be able to climb any higher. Even though spring seems further away than ever, I still try to add some spring vibes to my outfits, while still keeping warm enough to face the world. And what better way to do so then by means of pastel colors everywhere! And I'm a sucker for pastels, not in the very least for soft bubble gum pink pastels - swoon

So weather gods, don't keep us waiting anymore, it's time to break out of our cocoons and into our spring attire. Because, face it, everything's better when the sun's out. People smile more, life is easier and the world seems a better place. In the meantime, break out those pastels! Or do you have any tips on how to survive these days waiting for springtime?

We Wear: Floral Maxi (and pink hair)

So Monday became Thursday. I'M SORRY! And as if this tardiness isn't enough I'm showing you my outfit in four slightly out of focus photographs. I hope I don't have to explain it's too damn cold and windy to be wearing a floral maxi dress. But this is what I wore last Saturday to Radio Modern and to witness the last moments of Crossbonefest, so this is what I wanted to show you guys.

Last week was such a good week. I dyed my hair pink, went to a punkrock festival and got my foot tattooed. In comparison this week has been pretty blunt so far and it's draining my energy levels. I also never want to wash my hair again because I am seriously in love with my pink locks. Can't I have pink hair forever? (In these pictures the pink is already a bit toned down because I just really needed to wash my hair on Tuesday. Insert sad face.)

About the dress. I love it but the underskirt keeps creeping up when I'm walking. I should have foreseen this in the fitting room but I was blinded by the nice fit of this dress and I really wanted to have a maxi dress. Does anybody have any tips on how to keep that damn underskirt in its place?

Oh and also: foot tattoos hurt like a bitch.

I'm wearing:
Floral Maxi Dress: H&M
Jacket: Louche by Paplou
Peeptoes: H&M
Headband: dress-up shop

The bruises are punkrock leftovers and therefore part of my outfit.

And a little reminder of a pretty perfect Friday night.

We Love: Pastel Hair

It's no secret at all Karolien and myself like some weird hair colors. We've been rocking the ombre trend since 2012 and have been experimenting with colors ever since. Last summer I decided to completely bleach all of my hair because I wanted it to be white. I have always loved white hair and was bummed out I could never have that without putting my hair through some extreme conditons. But hair is only hair, when damaged you can cut it and it will grow. It's nature. And from the moment I sat in that chair for bleach session number one, I was already dreaming of pastel pink hair.

We are about six months from that moment and the time has finally come. For a lot of things actually. First of all: last time I touched up my roots at the hairdresser's, we decided that would be the last time. My hair is long and damaged and is breaking off really bad. I am not ready to cut it short yet (although when I see Naomi rocking her new do, I kind of want that too) so my hairdresser opted to quit the bleaching and let my hair rest and slowly transition into being a brunette again.

I knew from moment one that I couldn't keep my white locks for a very long time. I am just not ready to cut my hair short and I don't want to keep damaging it. But I will miss it! So I decided (a lot of decisions have been made apparently) to have one more splurge and just go for the pastel pink hair. I called up my hairdresser and made an appointment.

My boyfriend and my friends love it, my mom hates it. And I am completely in love. I think I even love my pastel locks more than I loved my white hair. I love how it makes me feel like a strawberry milkshake or a Japanese Harajuku girl. Kawaii!

I promise an outfit on Sunday, maybe Monday depending on the CROSSBONE FEST hangover.

We Wear: Leopard and Pi(e)

I know, it's been more than a week (GASP!) since our last post on Peaches & Peaches, but what can we say, life happened. Luckily (seeing the silver lining here, you guys), my plans for this Friday night got cancelled due to my sister getting ill and not being able to celebrate her birthday appropriately, ultimately giving me the chance to get shit/blog posts done. Although I have to confess I'd prefer sipping mojitos right about now.

Shirt: 3suisses - High waisted denim, booties: Bershka - Beanie, necklace: H&M - Bag: Primark - Faux-fur coat: Sheinside

This week has been a weird one for me, to say the least. Not the good kind of weird, but the really, really sucky, fist clenching, annoying kind. In addition to crappy events, I suddenly got struck by a winter dip, hitting me quite late but nevertheless very hard as I'm of this moment completely over winter.  Sure, it was all fun and games, seeing as a week ago I was still going on about 'No man, I'm not sick of winter , not bored with my winter wardrobe, not tired of bundling up when venturing outside'. This week however, all of the above were so true and more. I want springtime and summer and I want it right now! Fortunately, the sun has been rejoicing us with her company, but it is still frosty in the morning when I leave for work by foot, depriving me of the courage to face the day bare-ankled. What can I say, I'm no dare devil when it comes to feet heat.

These pictures were taken in Maastricht in the Netherlands, where I had - honestly - the best pie in the history of pies at TaarT (very conveniently spotted on Dressing in Labels). Evidence below. I can totally recommend the 'Zoete Zonde', which gives you the chance to taste a selection of three finger licking pies. Oh lord, I'm drooling.

Also, all this talk about pies reminds me that tomorrow is Pi day. The scientist in me awakes at 10 PM on a Friday night.

We Shop: Workout Wear

Social media on the first of January are naturally convulsing with people talking about their New Year's resolutions. No judging, I do it too, but just in my head, as I do think striving for perfection is everything. One of those resolutions for me had to do with working out and being active. Although I was already fairly active and totally committed to last year's resolution of learning to run 5k - hell, I even reached 10k, so save to say I stuck to that resolution - I challenged myself to amp up my exercises and try and reach for the stars. In line with that thinking, I also decided I was 'allowed' to invest in some new workout wear. See, one of my (many) peculiarities is that I feel I have to prove myself before I can treat myself in either which domain. In that thinking, first work off your butt in the gym/at the running track, and then you're allowed to splurge in the sports department.

However, I'm still more of the budget type of girl. I don't need to have each and everything of my sports gear to be Nike or Adidas or whatever - although I love those brands just like anybody else. I do have Nike leggings, but they are specially customized for running in cold temperatures. At yoga, I don't really need special technologies, merely something that is comfortable to be in compromising positions will do. Hence, the quest for budget proof workout wear commenced and I figured I'd share my experiences/investments.

Bascially, go to's for pretty and practical, yet not so pricey workout wear: New Look, Bershka, H&M, Boohoo, Forever 21, and Sportsdirect.

Are you guys still keeping up with your resolutions, specifically in the workout domain?
