We Wear: Leopard and Pi(e)

I know, it's been more than a week (GASP!) since our last post on Peaches & Peaches, but what can we say, life happened. Luckily (seeing the silver lining here, you guys), my plans for this Friday night got cancelled due to my sister getting ill and not being able to celebrate her birthday appropriately, ultimately giving me the chance to get shit/blog posts done. Although I have to confess I'd prefer sipping mojitos right about now.

Shirt: 3suisses - High waisted denim, booties: Bershka - Beanie, necklace: H&M - Bag: Primark - Faux-fur coat: Sheinside

This week has been a weird one for me, to say the least. Not the good kind of weird, but the really, really sucky, fist clenching, annoying kind. In addition to crappy events, I suddenly got struck by a winter dip, hitting me quite late but nevertheless very hard as I'm of this moment completely over winter.  Sure, it was all fun and games, seeing as a week ago I was still going on about 'No man, I'm not sick of winter , not bored with my winter wardrobe, not tired of bundling up when venturing outside'. This week however, all of the above were so true and more. I want springtime and summer and I want it right now! Fortunately, the sun has been rejoicing us with her company, but it is still frosty in the morning when I leave for work by foot, depriving me of the courage to face the day bare-ankled. What can I say, I'm no dare devil when it comes to feet heat.

These pictures were taken in Maastricht in the Netherlands, where I had - honestly - the best pie in the history of pies at TaarT (very conveniently spotted on Dressing in Labels). Evidence below. I can totally recommend the 'Zoete Zonde', which gives you the chance to taste a selection of three finger licking pies. Oh lord, I'm drooling.

Also, all this talk about pies reminds me that tomorrow is Pi day. The scientist in me awakes at 10 PM on a Friday night.

We Wear: High waisted denim and leopard

I know, this outfit is not entirely current season approved, but I actually wore it merely two weeks ago. Yep, the Indian summer's last convulses hit us hard that particular weekend - and it seems that this weekend we'll be experiencing some more lovely weather. It may have been a warm weekend when these pictures were taken, if you look at the pictures you can definitely tell summer had already left the building. As a result, the light was either too much or too little, which made taking pictures pretty hard. However, that kind of weather gives and takes, consequently leading to inadvertently awesome or not so awesome pictures. Either way, I have to say I quite love how the pictures turned out. And whatever the pictures, my inner 90s child was happy it could come out and play once more.

Blouse: Stradivarius - Slip-ons: some store in Lisbon - Crop top: H&M - Tote bag: Titi and the German Kid - Ripped denim: Bershka - Sunglasses: Vans

Different topic. Of course you all know, October equals Halloween equals ONLYTHEBESTTIMEOFTHEYEAR - although I have been known to say that every month or so about different occasions. But seriously, I have said it a thousand times and I will say it a thousand more: I love dressing up and I love the gloomy, scary vibe of Halloween. This year's outfit is gonna kick monkey balls!  I will have to leave you guys in suspense until after the weekend though, but you can check out my Instagram (@sneilorak) for a sneak peek. Also, check out this and this if you need some inspiration.

We Wear: Rock Herk

Aah, summer, the preeminent festival season, consisting of days filled with listening to great tunes and seeing awesome performances. Considering the weather was ultimately smashing last weekend, I decided to go to Rock Herk for the day. I saw some great shows (Thrash Talk, More Than a Thousand, Double Veterans...), mostly of bands I didn't know before. I guess that's what smaller festivals are all about!

Crop top: Sting - Denim shorts: New Look - Boots: Sacha - Choker: Claire's - Leather backpack: Morocco

 [No beer for me, thanks]

Of course I also wore clothes, although not too much as I spent the entire day in the blistering heat with a major headache as a consequence (and no, the beer did not have anything to do with it). Actually, I wore the exact same outfit - minus the shoes - on Rock Werchter as well. Why change a winning team must have been what was twirling through my mind. Or maybe when it gets very hot, I just cannot think about my outfit anymore. Just as likely. Key words for my outfits when attending a festival: Crop tops and denim shorts.

Are you guys attending some festivals this summer? And what is your winning combo to wear?

PS1: I hate posing for pictures in a crowd full of people. DEAR LORD!
