I actually bought this choker for my Halloween outfit but I totally forgot to put it on that night. I actually forgot to wear all my accessories and the whole evening it made me feel "not complete". But I've been wearing this velvet beauty constantly now so that is totally made up for. I had no idea velvet chokers would look so good on me! I think I'm going to buy a gazillion more.

Because we were still in the aftermath of Halloween when shoothing this outfit, I put a black spider in my bun. I found it at Flying Tiger and it's not really a hair clip but well, it does the trick. Flying Tiger is like a dream come true to find some Halloween or - enter any other holiday / occassion - decorations. It's like Action only a bit more expensive - but still super cheap - and also a bit more fancy - but still not too fancy -, I mean, I found a fake hand for 2 euros to complete Sofie's Wednesday Adams costume... I rest my case.

You see me wearing an awfull lot of stuff from La Bottega recently and that can be explained really simple: I work there. And that is a dream come true and a real nightmare at the same time: if I could I'd buy everything. This pleated skirt was a real steal so I had to bring that home with me. The combination with the the long vest was a guess but I'm really happy how it turned out! Originally I used my big, green Zara scarf to complete this outfit (I wore this to work on Friday and I have to walk and it's cold in the morning) but spring was so polite to come pay us a visit (although that already seems very long ago right now), thus a scarf was not needed when shooting these pictures.

I felt like a nineties yet retro, vampy witch while wearing this outfit and I loved it. By the looks the people gave me on Friday evening though the world - or Hasselt - is not ready yet for vampy, witchy vibes. Well, their loss.

No, I'm not writing a blog post about actual sweat pants. But as it was a million degrees when shooting this outfit, this title is appropriate. Belgian weather really is a challenge and it makes it really hard to dress accordingly. We've had an abundance of rain the past weeks, with flooded villages and closed down streets, with temperatures more applicable for fall. Followed by a sunny Sunday where we had to seek shelter in the shade and eat some icecream to actually cool down. We decided to grab some wine at the Wijnfeesten near the the beautiful castle of Duras. I chose a rather casual outfit but these skinny jeans really were to hot and my white sneakers got all muddy because the territory around the castle was still pretty soggy from all the rain. I saw women in dresses and heels fighting the mud and others in rain boots fighting the heat. I'm not sure which was the best option. It's this Belgian weather that just keeps you guessing.

I also cut my hair short and dyed it sort of purple. I'm over the high maintenance that goes along with blonde / platinum hair and all that bleach hasn't been really nice for my long locks. I can't wait to have a long pony tail again though... 

The issue with the not so crisp pictures has not yet been resolved as you may have noticed... I bought a new lens (Sigma Art 35mm 1.4) and everytime I export these pictures in Lightroom like I do my others, the quality and sharpness disappears. When I don't resize them they are ok but when I upload them and let blogger resize them via picture size the same thing happens. Anyone any idea?

He spilled coffee on my top so I had to wear something of his. And I don't mind because I actually love this sweater! Lorenz found it as a sale bargain at Urban Outfitters last winter but I'm trying to slowly add it to my pile of clothes - sorry Lorenz. I'd give him something in return but my wardrobe is either too fluffy or "too metal". I went for the preppy grunge look with this outfit. I really underestimated the power of a crisp white shirt! A tomboy must-have if you ask me.

This outfit nor the weather will show it but we did enjoy a first day of spring about a week and a half ago. I was sipping wine bare-legged, that's heaven for me guys. I did not photograph the look however because I was way too busy with doing nothing.

We Wear: Hiking outfit

Well allright, a 6km walk isn't REALLY a hike but more like a fun trip. I didn't see myself as one of those people who goes for a walk on a Sunday, but the alcohol and abundance of food, which are an obligation during the holidays, made us crave for some exercise and fresh air. Since we weren't really hiking hiking, I thought of my suede Vans as the perfect walking shoes. They got a little muddy but did a great job.

You know what's weird? I'm not wearing my leopard coat! A couple of weeks ago I felt it was time for me to check out the SheInside webshop. I don't know why I had never visited it before so it was time for a change. I bought not only this magnificent coat but also overknee suede boots, a shirt/dress and two pairs of earrings which will all find their way to the blog eventually. I have to admit that our indian winter does come in handy as this coat isn't really subzero-proof. Did "subzero" remind anyone else of Mortal Kombat?

Anyway, the walk was great and I love this outfit. Comfy, walky with a touch of lipstick. My cup of tea!

We Wear: Blue Vintage

Say hello to my new addiction: headbands. You've seen me wear my red headband to a dozen festivals and all of a sudden I felt the urge to buy more headbands in different colors and patterns. I guess I'm really drawn to that vintagey, sixties look of cute girls in red cars with headbands and big sunglasses. That's also the reason I sometimes buy things just because "it has the right color". What the right color exactly means is a mystery even to me. It mostly turns out to be some kind of minty green, but not all minty greens make the cut. This necklace made the cut. I bought it ages ago at Forever21 without ever wearing it. (That's a lie, I wore it once but wasn't satisfied with my outfit, felt horribly self-conscious and ate some pizza to feel better.) Anyway, I thought the necklace looked really cute paired with my blue cat shirt. And I bought 4 (!) new headbands in a thrift shop and this blue polka dotted one is defs my favorite (together with a leopard one which will turn up in an outfit post rather soon).

My purse is also thrifted, I bought it at a flee market we stumbled upon but then I did spot it again later and I can't remember where. So I'm not quite sure how "secondhand" it really is. The bow made me buy it, I'm a sucker for bows.

I'm not the girl to own a dozen pair of shorts or sunglasses so I'm wearing my same baggy shorts from My mum made it and fav sunglasses ever by Komono. On Instagram I mentioned I got my shirt from Paplou but that is not true. I got it at PooPoo Style (a skate shop in Hasselt) but Paplou also sold it. I got a little confused while posting that picture to Instagram.

This wil also be one of my last outfitposts while rocking my white (red, brown) locks. My hair has been damaged enough and I am slowly going to transition back to being a brunette. Insert sadface. No seriously, I really wished I could keep my white hair forever but it just doesn't seem possible.

I own these pants for three years now and I think I wore them equally as much. They have been in my "to sell"-pile multiple times but now, all of a sudden, I am hooked. The weather lately has been quite generous with the amount of sunshine and those tropical conditions were the main reason I chose these pants over my dreadfully hot skinny jeans. I needed breezy garment that was still work appropriate. Mission accomplished! I need more of these in my wardrobe, soon! I'm also on the lookout for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans. I've tried one of Levis but I didn't like the fit very much. Made me feel like an obese midget again. So any recommendations?

My peeptoes are made completely out of leather and I bought them on sale (80% discount!) last summer at Urban Outfitters. I spend no more than 10 euros on these babies! Best sales item ever in my opinion. And best footwear during sunny days. My apologies for not having them portrayed better. I had one picture, but I didn't like it that much (sorry Lorenz).

Mango has really done it again with this top. Remember my black one I wore to death? Of course you don't. I'm sure this top will be a new go to item in my wardrobe. I can already tell you guys it also looks GREAT with skinny jeans. But I'll try to bring some variation in my outfits so I won't bore you guys to death.

These pictures were taken at a flax field not far from my boyfriend's place. We drove past and the whole field was blue, it was so pretty! When we drove past again later that day, the blue was gone, the flowers had closed. So I guess we had some perfect timing for picture taking. Yay!

This weather has got me craving for Groezrock (oh yes, the countdown has begun) so I thought it was appropriate to show you a potential Groez outfit. Dressing for festivals means dressing versatile with loads of layers and options for cold and warm weather. We all know I'm no hero in that area. I just put on boots and think I'll be safe in whatever weather circumstances.

These boots happen to be the oldest pair of shoes that I own. Their mine for nine (!) years now and that, my friends, is a record. It also confirms I'm getting old. I don't wear them that often anymore - read: never - but they have accompanied me to Groezrock before. An ideal festival boot if you ask me: they may get dirty, they spice up my outfit, they keep my feet dry and warm(ish).

The dungarees are new and a fun change from the usual shorts I wear to festivals. And when I spotted this Bart Simpson top I immediately pictured it with this outfit. I'm telling you, it's Groezrock whispering in my ears.
