Two for one: tartan skirt part two

One item, two styles, that was the basic logic behind the previous post combined with this post. And that one item was a tartan skirt, which I dug up from my past. A tartan skirt is quite a versatile item of clothing with endless possibilities, but in my (narrow?) mind it comes down to one of these two styles. Either you go for the grungy punk look - "hey, look at me, fuck you all!" - or you go for a preppy style. On Friday I've shown you the first one, today the time has finally come to present you my interpretation of a preppy style including a tartan skirt. I think all the other possibilities fall in one of these two categories, but of course it's possible to make it less extravagant and obvious, unlike me.

Tartan skirt: oldschool - White shirt: Primark - Necklace: gift - Blazer, brogues: New Look - Rucksack: Morocco

Again, my heroic little sister took the pictures. She even made me hold a book (not mine, thank God! I'm quite over studying) to make it more authentic... She's also suggesting we change the name of the blog to "Peaches & Peaches & poor fool" considering she's the one who mostly is obliged to take my pictures.

I think I'll be rocking/prepping both styles this fall. What do you guys think? Which one do you like the best?

INSPIRATION: Sweat baby sweat

It isn't that cold these days, but I have the haunting omnipresent feeling that we do have a few ice cold winter days or even weeks ahead. Oh look, my predictive powers are obviously quite good. What is better than to snuggle up in a comfy sweater during these days? I hear you, nothing. Except wearing pajama pants and a blanket, but some of us have a job to attend and might get (even more) frowned upon showing up in merely a blanket. Just saying.

I've been looking for a sweater/sweatshirt with a cool print and a more sporty vibe for a few weeks now (which is actually quite long for me). Strolling along shops, in reality and virtually and getting more and more ideas stuck in my head. I could totally see myself wearing said sweater with a collared shirt underneath, maybe a skinny pants and some Vans or a skirt and brogues for a more classy style.

I actually found a TERRIFIC sweater in Forever 21 with a print of The Lion King (can't find it anymore however). And you have to know that The Lion King is my all-time Disney favorite. I had to have it, but unfortunately it wasn't in my size anymore. Sad face. Then I spotted a sweater with Snow White, but for one reason or another I deemed it inappropriate for my 'oh-god-I'm-turning-26-this-year' ass. Bambi however isn't too childish, I think. And yes, I do hear/read myself talking and I realize it sounds as complete bogus.

I'll leave you with a collage of some of my favorite sweaters. Do please tell me which one I should get or if you know other places with even better sweaters. Girl gots to make a well informed choice, right? I'm actually doubting between Bambi and Wonder Woman.

What We Wear Wednesday: Leopard Love

Last summer I already discovered the perks of loose, printed pants: I bought myself two pair of flower pants. After wearing them to death and actually growing a bit tired of them, I spotted the perfect new pair of printed pants on my holiday in France. And in my favorite print of all time: leopard. Yes, I have A LOT of stuff in leopard print and some people might even say I have everything in leopard and some other people might even say that it is TOO MUCH (my sister) and more people may say that I need to stop buying leopard printed clothes and accessories. To all those people I say: NO, I have the right, no even the duty, to buy as much stuff in my favorite print as I possibly can. I simply adore it and every time I spot something in leopard, my attention is immediately drawn. I cannot help it. It's my little addiction, quite harmless, right?

That being said and off my chest, I decided to dress up the leopard pants a bit. Normally I wear it quite comfortably and more edgy, but this time I wanted to try and look a little bit more up style. For that purpose, I wore my cream blazer and combined it with my collared blouse. I wasn't too sure about the outfit at the start of the day, but I came to really love the contrast between the dark leopard on the one hand and the white and pastel on the other hand.

Also notice the dip and dye necklace. I spent ages looking for it, but I couldn't find it anywhere and almost resorted to trying to fix it up myself. Luckily and weirdly enough, I found it after all this time in H&M, a shop where I almost spend every waking hour, so to speak.

Blazer, shirt, necklace, sunglasses: H&M - Pants: market in France - Loafers: Sister (Hasselt) - Purse: Primark
