We Wear: 12,99

We'll all remember that day when everything at the H&M webshop was (faulty) priced 12,99 euros and everybody lost its head, went berserk and bought so much we all thought H&M would be bankrupt after this debacle. Me too eagerly clicked some items to my basket but much to my regret I noticed the price tags in my basket had already been changed back to normal quicker before I could enter my Mastercard number. Therefore I blew off operation H&M only to come across the more fortunate on my Facebook wall, still boasting about their recent bargains.

This debacle did made me discover these beautiful leopard, heeled chelsea boots and for only 29,99 I still call this a bargain. So I went back to the H&M webshop and clicked them in my basket anyway. Because screw you unemployment, I still buy what I want to! I probably didn't make up for all the marauders out there, though. H&M claims it was not a marketing stunt but I can only conclude for myself that I bought three items (yes, I went back a second time because I also spotted a teddy lined jeans jacket and I needed softness in my life) I probably wouldn't have come across if it wasn't for this whole technical hitch. But I think we can all conclude that almost everything at H&M is a bargain so I'm really not all that bummed. I should try to reduce my number of speeding tickets though. They sure as hell are not a bargain.

The title of this post seems appropriate as I was forced to take my outfit pictures in the dark. I usually take them after work on Monday or Tuesday - for some reason it never works out in weekends - but I clearly didn't take the whole it-gets-dark-at-5-thing in account. It's been a challenge, but I actually like these pictures.

I'm finally showing you the t-shirt I bought for the Blondie concert. It's a reproduction of the one she used to wear, only difference is I am wearing panties underneath. Anyhow, I love it and whenever I want to channel my inner Debbie Harry, I slip into this shirt. I combined it with my new favorite pants from Asos and my good old Chelsea boots. To not be a total predictable nag, I decided to wear my furry leopard bomber jacket to top things of. It's so furry and soft and ideal for these days that start to get colder. I know Karolien was wearing a crop top in her previous post, but times they are a-changing and I can feel hell freezing over.

I think it's because of my job, but I spend a lot more time on online shops than I used to (you know what they say about self-wisdom), and that's how I stumbled upon this cute little cat purse on Asos. I clicked it to my shopping cart together with a dress I might wear for New Year's Eve. Excited yet?

Hello there spring, did I already mention I love you? Seems like my fear for slippery roads this winter was totally unnecessary, since all we're getting are marvelous rays of sunshine. If the weather suddenly decides to snow, I swear I'm going to cry. I'm over it.

I know that I've been wearing these pants and these shoes A LOT on the blog. And by a lot, I really mean a lot. They just go so well together and the fit of these pants is to die for. But I added some new items on my favorite bottom-combo. A striped shirt is as much of a basic as a little black dress and what screams "Paris" more than the combination of stripes with a blazer. Exactly, nothing. My eye fell on this caramel colored one and it still was on discount! Oh how I love that. It is a size bigger than what I would "usually" buy, but that doesn't matter in my book. It still fits you know.

This is the outfit I wore to celebrate Sofie's birthday and if I'd say it had been a good night I would be lying. It was AMAZING! Although some parts may have gone lost in the endless chambers that form my brain. Like eating cheese croquettes at 5 in the morning, such a sad memory to get lost. Cheese croquettes are amazing.

With all the coral and burgundy going on in my last outfit (awkward moment at the gas station when I realised I also matched my car), I felt the need to discover the other ends of the universe and color tones palette: black and white.

I attended two concerts wearing this attire and felt very rock 'n roll'ish, which in my book can only be a good thing. I don't wear lipstick often but I just really like the combo of rock 'n roll vibes with red lipstick. And yes, this time it really is lipstick and not cherry flavored chapstick.

I'm going to apologize in advance for the repeat of jumping / floating photos. I take my photos myself and I have to entertain myself, okay? After almost two years it still feels weird to smile at my tripod. Jumping up and down like a maniac on the other hand doesn't feel strange at all. I have a feeling I'm going to experiment with that some more. You should all check out the brilliant photos of this Japanese girl, she floats like a master!

Also, last year around this time I was dressed as a snow leopard. This year I'm not even wearing a jacket in all of my photos. WHAT'S GOING ON NATURE I WANT SNOOOOOOW! Or spring, I could settle for spring.

We Wear: Sequined Love

Before you say anything about my funny faces, I was freezing to death and the wind almost blew me into the canal. Nothing compared to my trip to the sea last week though, I had trouble breathing then because of the wind constantly blowing in my face. Anyone else familiar with that problem?

About the outfit. I seem to be wearing a lot of black lately. But these happen to be my favorite pair of skinnies and my favorite pair of shoes and my favorite top from last summer. Yes, a lot of favorites. My left shoe did lose its heel a couple of weeks ago.. I had it fixed already but still, that shouldn't happen, right? So now I constantly fear it's going to fall off again. Speaking of falling off: the sequins of my jacket are doing pretty well. They should have a talk with my shoes about how they do that.

Thinking about heels and shoes brings me to another obstacle: I came to the conclusion that I don't own a single pair of shoes with a decent sole to challenge the slippery wintery roads. I know, with birds singing and May bugs popping up it really doesn't feel like winter yet. But it is bound to arrive sooner or later and I have a feeling it's going to hit us hard. And I am not planning on breaking my legs wearing slippery shoes, there is a limit to my hypermobility you know. This all occurred to me while browsing through the H&M yesterday wearing these shoes. The H&M floor decided to test my ice skating skills. They aren't pretty good.

Maybe I should just go for snow boots.

What We Wear Wednesday: Double Leopard

Because one can never wear too much leopard, I decided to go full on cat woman and combine my leopard crop top with some leopard tights. Since I'm on a low shopping budget at the moment, I have to be creative with the garments already hanging in my closet on my clothing rack. And I don't know about you guys, but I am already missing summer! Cold and dark days really drain my energy level. So that's why I picked out my favorite skirt from last summer, reminiscing and all! As you can see, it can easily be worn in fall too. Although I do prefer wearing it bare legged, but that would be outright insane with these temperatures.

Also, fall makes me want to wear green. I love my military green winter coat from last year so I fear you'll be seeing a lot of that in the next wintery posts. Sorry!

How are you guys coping with the dropping temperatures? I'm looking forward to snow and long snowy walks, but I'm not a fan of grey fall days. It makes my mind grey too.

I promised you another outfit this week, and here it is starring a lot of newbies. I went to a lecture about typography on Tuesday at Z33 in Hasselt but beforehand I wanted to go shopping because I was determined I needed a hat in my wardrobe. No sooner said than done, I found mine at H&M and it immediately came in quite handy as it was raining cats and dogs. People always tend to look weird whenever you put something on your head or in your hair, or at least that's how it feels for me whenever I'm wearing my flower headband, my hat or having my head wrapped in my scarf. Seriously, what's so weird about it?

Second, there are THE SHOES, I was talking about here. I spotted them again some time ago in Antwerp and didn't think twice. I just had to be the owner of this great pair of Chelsea Boots because I can't pull of biker boots. I don't know why, they never suit me. I'm really digging these because the classic model has been spiced up with the buckles and the tiny iron strip on the back. Perfect detail, perfect combo of Chelsea Boots meets biker boots.

Next up my incredible Zara blanket scarf I picked up in Paris. It's so BIG and soft and warm, I really love it. It is the perfect item to keep you warm without having to grab your winter coat already. My jacket and top are a bit chilly for this kind of weather, but this scarf really makes up for that. Talking about my top. It's also new, it's from Mango and I got it with a discount. Ka-ching! I love the combination of the more preppy look of my top with my more grungy sort of pants. 

I'm going to channel my inner Cleopatra now and get ready for an Egyptian themed party later tonight.
