What We Wear Wednesday: Sleep in the snow

This post is going to give everyone from at least Belgium a massive culture shock, including me. Since it feels like spring has finally arrived and we've had that blissful feeling of sunshine on our faces, an outfit post in a snowy landscape feels weird. Nevertheless, I convinced myself to publish it anyway with two arguments. First, I like the pictures and I hadn't had an opportunity to shoot some pictures in a snowy landscape. Second, we're still in Belgium, so who's to say the weather might not turn around again and in a week we'll be back to layers, layers, layers.

You might remember me searching for the perfect sweater and I'm happy to announce that this search has finally come to an end. I have to say I kind of gave up, because nothing I found was deemed appropriate. That was until I browsed the Romwe website and encountered the tiger sweater I'm wearing here. It has a galaxy print! It has pastel colours! I has leopard! Luckily, I could order it with a major discount. A little hint on the side: always check Google for discounts when you're about to order something. With Romwe, it said on the website there was a 50% discount code, but that code was nowhere to be found on the site. A quick stroll through Google and websites like Solden.be (for Belgian readers) solved that issue quite fast!
These pictures resemble the previous WWWW post from Lies, but unfortunately my coat and I didn't scare a single animal, not even a sheep.
Tonight we're going to see Yellowcard perform (hence the title, which is a great song from their new album). CANNOTWAIT.

What We Wear Wednesday: Summer skirt

Coat, scarf, skirt: H&M - Jumper: Romwe - Ballerinas, bag: Zara - Bracelet: Mango - Earrings: ModCloth - Ring: Carrefour - Nailpolish: Catrice Pimp my Shrimp

I'm fully aware that this title may raise some eyebrows. It's midst winter, on the news they're constantly talking 'bout the snow and the heavy traffic thereby, and I'm frolicking about in my summer skin skirt. I have to be honest that I took these pictures on Sunday and no snow was to be seen (yet). It was freezing cold though, that's why I paired my breezy skirt with my less breezy Romwe jumper and H&M leopard coat. Okay, the ballerinas are way too optimistic for this time of year BUT it has been autumn weather up until last week, so I didn't want to give up on them just yet. They've been my partners in crime for three years now, picked them up at Zara and I still love them.

The jumper is one of my first online buys and I simply ADORE it. The color, the fit, the spikes...ALL is good! I also bought the cat jumper as seen here, but it's a tad too baggy for me. It's perfect to just hang around on a Sunday afternoon but it's too shapeless for me to wear on a regular basis, for instance for work. BUT when I see this outfit by The Mad Twins, I feel like I should give this jumper another try. Try to style it unthought-of maybe. I'll let you know how that works out.

I really love how this outfit turned out. I feel like this is a real Lies-outfit (pink and green combined, what a surprise) in which I feel perfectly comfortable. So I was eager to go out on Sunday! Grab a coffee or something, but all of my friends were busy or car-less. What a loss for the world. Also, once the holidays are over I'm totally ready for spring. When sitting behind glass and looking at the sun, I can almost SMELL spring is around the corner. I always get this nostalgic spring vibe around this time of year, so I added a mini moodboard at the end of the post to express my vibe. Wasn't easy to find the right pictures though, just retro and vintage isn't enough! Also listen to the song, it's a great song.

INSPIRATION: Crazy Cat Lady

Cats are HOT! Leopard prints have been around for quite a while and now it seems like it's time to show the face 'behind the fur'. It's not only wild cats here, the domestic cat is making an entry too. And quite a good one in my opinion. As people often call me a 'crazy cat lady', this is a trend I cannot let slip. I'm simply obliged to own at least one cat-faced jumper in my closet. But until my first paycheck has arrived, I will get no further then drooling over my screen while browsing the online shops. I'm considering buying a waterproof case for my laptop, I still need it for work.

So I made some boards with finds from different shops. I warn you: excessive production of saliva will take place. I found my favorites at Romwe: the white big jumper with the cat face, and the black jumper with the cat face. PERFECTION!

Do you like the whole cat-face trend? Any preferences considering wild cats or domestic cats?

Oh and in case you're burning with curiosity: I did cut my bangs.
