We Wear: Pyjama pants (the real deal) and a rant (again).

No outfit today 'cause life brought some really sour lemons upon us the past few days and an outfit seems so trivial right about now. It's also basically too hot to really be wearing anything at all anyway.

But I did not want to leave you guys in the cold - although that would be quite hard to accomplish given the weather - so I'm posting this "I am doing this right now" thing. I am literally outside in my pyjama shorts, eating stracciatella ice cream, petting my cat, taking some Instax memories and my neighbour is mowing his lawn.  I could be upstairs on my "real" computer (I call the big one the real one) editing some pictures I took on Genk on Stage of The Scabs, but I think my hard drive has melted, and my brain will soon follow. Not just because of the heat, but because of all the things we had to process these past days. I'm sorry if I don't give a fuck right now about ootd's or your stupid whole page ad in our stupid meaningless advertising rip-off of a magazine. (I'm exaggerating to make myself feel better.) I know it's frustrating to read about something and not knowing the whole story, but this rant is all you're going to hear about it as it is not up to me to be telling more online. But I did had to vent a little bit so there you have it. There also are a lot of ants here and wasps eat our Bankirai garden furniture (it really is a thing, they are a menace). And I really don't care if you spell Bankirai with or without the capital but I like it better with SO I'M GONNA WRITE IT WITH.

I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed my ice cream.

P.S.: I do own a new pair of skinny jeans (by Cheap Monday) which I hope will remain black (although the tag reads is really dark blue, mindfuck much) but if I would wear them right now they would have to be surgically removed afterwards. So not the best idea at the moment, pyjama pants it is.

P.S.S. By the time I finished this post my neighbour also finished mowing his lawn. I now feel like we have a connection.

I never zoom and this is why.

We Wear: A whole lotta leopard

So since Karolien is still enjoying a well-deserved holiday in Portugal, it's time for me again to show an outfit. Two weeks ago I ordered some things on Asos (emoshopping) and today my package - finally - arrived. Just in time to show you guys!

Item 1: leather, leopard loafers. I don't have to explain this now do I? I wear sneakers like most of the time and I thought the time was ripe for a change. Leopard loafers it is.

Item 2: leopard printy cat-eye sunglasses. I broke my sunglasses from ModCloth (as last seen here) so it was only natural I ordered a new pair.

Item 3: skinny jeans! I must say that I had my doubts when I unwrapped these pants because they seemed so damn TINY! But as you can see, I managed to get my butt in there and even walk around to take some photos. Planning to go to the gym tomorrow has also been done.

Item 4: well you just have to wait for that one!

The leopard top is a new buy from H&M and the color matches my loafers perfectly.

We Wear: Newbies

Faux leather jacket, skinny jeans: H&M - Top: Zara - Sneakers: Vans - Bag: Urban Outfitters - Angry bitch face: my own

A very simple outfit today consisting almost entirely of all new items. Last weekend has been very busy and this was the outfit I wore to spend a whole day celebrating our birthday girl Eline. We enjoyed a scrumptious cava-brunch and afterwards headed to Maastricht for some serious shopping. I only bought food-related stuff. I have a growing obsession about (healthy) food and I can't go shopping without returning with another healthy cookbook or weird ingredient "to add to my granola". Even at Sissy Boy I bought a Chai tea herbal mix (partly because of the uttermost beautiful packaging). But I must add I also fell in love with a dress and numerous pieces of tableware (table -> food). I seriously don't know what has gotten into me.

But since this is a fashion blog, I'll also tell something about the clothes. As you can see, I finally bought myself a new (faux) leather jacket. I never owned a biker model before and thought that needed to change. Et voila. The blouse is a birthday-coupon well spent at Zara. I love the simplicity of the cut with the colorful print. I really do like very simple outfits however I also want to dress up like a creamy sundae for summer. You've already seen my new Vans in my previous outfit and I've been wearing them ever since. I love me a good pair of basic sneakers. And when in Dublin I figured I deserved a new bag. I've been carrying around my Zara one for ages now (a year) and it was time for a replacement. As for bags, I also tend to grab all black ones. Maybe this is a tendency I need to break, to try and spice things up a little. Or maybe my choice of outfits need to bring balance to the chaos that is my mind. I don't know, maybe I'm just tired or philosophic, but I didn't always dress this "goody-goody" and I refuse to say that I grew up because I most definitely didn't.

So how do you guys feel about homemade peanut butter?

What We Wear Wednesday: Blue Jeans

You fit me better than my favorite sweater.
Lana del Rey - Blue Jeans

I'm wearing my first skinny I've ever bought. And that wonderful event happened five years ago in the spring of 2007. I must say that skinnies these days are a lot more skinny and stretchy, and this fella here now almost feels like a boyfriend jeans (not that I have ever worn a boyfriend jeans before, I'm just assuming). Nonetheless, this has been my favorite pair of pants for many years and I have worn it many many times until...it didn't fit me anymore. I never wanted to throw it away though because of sentimental reasons (I'm such a cry baby) and now I'm glad I didn't because THEY FIT AGAIN!

And look at me all parading on my heeled shoes. I've worn them to work twice now. First time I suddenly had to go build up a shop instead of sitting in front of my desk, so at the end of the day I thought my feet were going to fall off. But I survived, and so did my feet. (Ok, I wasn't parading at all, I was trying not to break my neck on that SUPER slippery wood.)

I don't have much to add today. We had to put one of our cats to sleep on Monday and I'm kind of bummed out. Although it was the best thing we could have done for her, you just want them to live forever. She'll be missed.

Coat: New Yorker - Top: Mango - Necklace, jeans, booties: H&M
