We Wear: Cash in blue suede Vans and 10 euro jeans

"Well, you can do anything. But stay off of my blue suede shoes"

That seems almost impossible as I like to wear my blue suede shoes to punkrock shows. So unlike Elvis's, my blue suede shoes already got pretty stepped on. But I don't mind. Vans need to look a little worn. I mean, what's punkrock in clean shoes? I'm really digging the vintage, grungy red and blue vibe that's going on in this outfit. So I was pretty stoked we found a backdrop adding to this vibe. The outfit's pretty cash but sometimes cash is all you need. Especially when you have a hella busy week. I sure do need my sleep to function somewhat normal during the day and I can assure you my functionalities were seriously messed with this week. Sleep deprivation anyone? I have a feeling this will not improve for quite some time so I do hope my body will find a way to adapt. On the other hand: being busy is keeping busy. If you know what I mean. Probably not so I'll explain: when you have a lot of things to do and you feel really "useful" it motivates to be busy in other aspects of your life too. And for me it expresses itself through the blog. Well, you guys probably didn't notice that yet but that's because the ideas for new blogposts have only just emerged in my brain. I didn't expect you guys to be psychic. This writing isn't really going anywhere so ima just stop rambling. Goodbye for now!

Almost forgot the bloopers:

What We Wear Wednesday: Pale Pink.

Actually, this could be the title of any of my WWWW's, I seem to wear a lot of pale pink. But what can I say? I love it! So I don't need to justify it, right?

I wore this outfit for my first days of work (summer job at L'exsellent in Lommel), as in: yesterday and the day before. Two days in a row?! OH NO WHAT A SHAME! Only that...it's not. This outfit is super comfy and that's all what your first days of work should be about. There's enough stressing about all the new stuff you have the learn and all. So while picking up wrinkles of all that thinking, I want to be in a comfortable outfit.

So I've been working for two days now (actually only one and a half to be quite honest) and I'm already kind of exhausted. However, I did photograph a wedding on Saturday. It was my first and I really underestimated all of the work! At half past seven, I was already taking my first pictures of the bride to be at the hairdresser's, and around half past midnight I stepped in my car to drive home. That's seventeen hours of almost non-stop photographing. It was really fun though. As a photographer, you can sneak around all day trying to capture all the little things that usually go unnoticed. I love sneaking around! And nobody bothers you because well...you're the photographer and you're allowed to sneak around! The luxury! But I'm getting of track, I was just explaining why I must be so tired now.

I love these skinnies I'm wearing. They're from ZARA and they are ab-so-lutely fantastic. I bought them four times, each in different colors. Skinnies tend to be not skinny enough (or does that just happen to me), but these fit perfectly. Everyone should own a black skinny jeans by the way. I love to combine black pants with more romantic shades, for instance this pale pink. The black toughens up the pink and the pink softens (the blow)* the black. The denim jacket finishes the look by saying "Yes, she's a chick you don't want to mess with". I also sometimes combine this look with my pale pink blazer you can see HERE. That might be too much of pale pink for the most of us, but not for me it isn't!.

Groezrock 2012

Last weekend, the moment we were enthusiastically waiting for was finally there: festival season kick-off with Groezrock festival in Meerhout, Belgium. But more importantly, also the very exciting kick-off of our blog! All day Saturday and Sunday we were on the lookout for people with a great style on the festival grounds. But sadly, the weather predictions were pretty negative when we left home: rainy, windy days were forecasted and everybody was advised to be prepared for some shitty weather. And although the weather ended up a whole lot better, the almost apocalyptic (or maybe that was just in our minds) weather predictions were still visible in people’s outfits. Loads of raincoats, rain boots, long jackets… Not so easy to express your own style when you think you’re gonna be spending the weekend in the mud and rain, all washed out. But hey, we succeeded and luckily, so did some other lovely people.

The first girl we spotted was Inge from Holland. She came to the festival for the amazing line-up and was accompanied by her friends: the Goth Busters. Indeed, as the name indicates: a group of guys in overalls imitating Ghost Busters, but with an obvious different target to bust than ghosts. Inge said she played the secretary of the guys and wow, what a fabulous secretary: a black and green dress, fake glasses and a great hairdo!

Who says rain boots can’t be integrated in your outfit? Have a look at Katy from the UK! She fell in love with the festival and we fell in love with the combination of her yellow vest and green rain boots.

Liv and Steph are two friends from the UK and they immediately caught our eye because of the similarity in their outfits. When we asked them for a picture, they giggled and said they looked horrible. Admit it, they are totally the opposite of horrible! Their outfits are also a good example of comfy, warm clothing on a not so sunny festival while still looking fabulous.

When strolling through the festival market with all the merchandising stands, we stumbled upon Claire. She was at the festival with Funtime Magazine and wore a very sexy cropped shirt from Big Deal Clothing. If you're really into the whole rock star look, have a look at their website.

As you may have noticed, we spotted some great looking girls, but none were Belgian... Of course, this is impossible, there have to be girls or boys who looked great and were on Groezrock grounds this past weekend. So if you were there or you know somebody who was there looking like they could walk around at Coachella festival, send us a picture at infoandpeaches@gmail.com

Must-have-item on Groezrock this weekend: Rain boots!

To give you a feel of the general atmosphere of Groezrock, take a look at these pictures.

And this is us, after two exhausting days of rocking our asses off.
