We Wish: Merry Christmas

This peach is wishing you a merry, merry Christmas!

We wish you happy holidays and may all your wishes for the upcoming year come true. I myself will be gliding down some mountains around that time of year, so I won't be around to extend those wishes myself then.

Chase your dreams, prosper, laugh and do something good for somebody else everyday!

We Wear: Hassle in Hasselt

Finally! Some decent outfit pictures for you guys. I'm wearing an outfit that is my current favorite. So I will be wearing this until I'm dead tired of every single piece involved. My Christmas outfit even resembles this outfit. You've all seen me wear this hat, jacket and boots on multiple occasions already. This time I paired them with my new shorts from My Mum Made It, new polkadot panties by Zalando and new sparkly green top by Paplou. Love at first sight I tell you.

We went to Hasselt on Saturday to eat a bagel at Eve and Molly's (BEST bagels in town, I swear), made a very quick stroll through Winterland (I really wanted some glühwein) and bought a present for a baby visit the next day. And while you think this all happened in peace and quiet, you are wrong. Hasselt couldn't have been more crowded! So after the present we quickly escaped all the hassle with a well deserved coffee at King Kong Coffee. We ended up staying there for two hours and then went to Maasmechelen to see The Hourglass Instinct play an awesome set at a local gig.

A weekend well spent!
And before I forget: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

We Love: Wander & Co

Santa came early this year, or at least that's how I felt when receiving a package I had ordered only a few days before. After witnessing the Belgium based web shop Wander & Co come on by on Instagram and understanding the philosophy behind the shop, I was intrigued. My interest was even further sparked by the multiple references to wandering - the motto of the shop is not for nothing 'The mind likes to travel'. The fact that the products are pretty pretty pretty and obviously meticulously picked by the shop owner, persuaded me in purchasing some last minute Christmas picks. And boy oh boy, am I happy with them! Also, I love love love the personal touches, it gives it just that little bit extra.

Take a look inside the package with me and do check the web shop for yourself. I assure you, you will fall in love.

We Wear: Jolly jumper

With T-minus a week for Christmas to arrive, my holiday spirits are going in overdrive. Visiting numerous Christmas markets (Cologne, in a cave in Valkenburg, my beloved Leuven...), buying the prettiest ornaments in the history of mankind, putting up the Christmas tree and in one smooth sweep adding so many other decorations you may fancy yourself in good ol' Santa's house himself, is all part of the deal for people in my surroundings. Sorry not sorry.

However, finding the perfect outfit for the numerous celebrations can be a hassle in these busy times, but an important aspect nevertheless. Granted, not nearly as important as family, love and .... well, presents (Guilty as charged: I love both giving and receiving gifts). Still, I have to admit that I love dressing up and view it is an inherent part of Christmas - on approximately the same level as adding cinnamon on everything and everywhere.

This time I wanted to try something a little different: a celebratory outfit with a serious comfortable nod. Do you think I succeeded in this party/comfy mix?

We Wear: I'm so over these pants.

Jacket : H&M - Sweater : Urban Outfitters - Pants : New Look - Shoes: Vans - Scarf: Zara

You all probably know what I'm talking about: an item you once loved and wore multiple times now becomes something you hate. I'm having this love-hate relationship with these pants I once used to love so thoroughly. Cherry on the cake: I wore this outfit for three days in a row. Two concert nights (Taking Back Sunday, oh my God!) and a random Sunday and now I never want to see these pants again. Mark my words! It was also freezing while taking these photos so that explains the poor quantity.

We Wear: Paplou & Louche

After playing 'model' for a day with Hasselt based store Paplou a while back, I became an instant fan of their cutest of cute and edgy as rockers on speed clothes and accessories. Naturally, I had to return to take this treasure home with me: a lovely floral high waisted pencil skirt that flattered my body in ways other pieces of clothing never come to reach. I always had a predilection for high waisted pencil skirts and I absolutely adore the whole pin up vibe they carry, although I never feel quite comfortable in them, which most certainly has to do with specific bodily issues that no one else notices except me myself. Ladies, I know you're feeling me.

Skirt: Louche (Paplou) - Biker jacket, hat: H&M - Choker: Claire's - Brogues: Van Dalen

Anyway, that all changed - well, almost - when I slipped into this beauty. This skirt must be magical as it makes me feel like a real classy lady, a look that definitely will not unbecoming for the fast approaching holidays. Yes, indeed, the time has come to dress up once again (bring on the sequins), start gift wrapping, bake gingerbread men and decorate the Christmas tree, which will be my main activities for the next month. Expect some holiday outfit inspiration in the next few weeks!

Are you also looking forward to Christmas? And what is your go to outfit for the holidays?

A sequined dress, thankyouverymuch.

We Want: Outfit inspiration

Again I failed to make outfit pictures this week. I blame the wintery season and my procrastinating habbits on Sunday. I do have some new items I want to show you, so I made a collage on Polyvore with said items and stuff I still want.

Here's set number one:

Pastel Winter

River Island fake fur coat
€125 - riverisland.com

Zee Gee Why stretchy jeans
€53 - asos.com

Vans floral print sneaker
€55 - nordstrom.com

Artful Blossom Drops - anthropologie.eu
€16 - anthropologie.eu

The earrings, My Little Pony Shirt and Vans are actually mine and I was thinking how I could wear them all together. A pastel winter outfit came to mind. I find my dear black skinnies to harsh on these pastel Vans so I opted for a softer grey, mom jeans from Asos. I am seriously thinking about buying these jeans as my other pairs of jeans from Asos fit like a glove.  And I need a new coat this winter. I really love this white furry one on this outfit, but I'm not sure I'm going to wear it enough. Therefore I don't know yet if I'm actually going to buy it (probably yes).

And here's number two:

Christmas Attire

Jumpers sweater
€22 - romwe.com

Asos top
€28 - asos.com

ASOS fake fur coat
€105 - asos.com

ASOS ribbed beanie hat
€13 - asos.com

ASOS oversized scarve
€23 - asos.com

I am 100% in Christmas-mood. The search for the perfect Christmassy sweater was harder as I anticipated but then Instagram showed me this pretty Romwe piece. It's not really Christmas as it shows Little Red Riding Hood, but it has snowflakes and the right colors so I'm satisfied. I chose the same pants to go with this outfit because I have a feeling I will be buying them soon and will be wearing them non-stop. I have to work the 24th of December and I totally see me wearing a sort of outfit like this to work, you know to spread the Christmas joy.

Next time I promise you I will take outfit pictures again! Making collages like this actually takes up more of my time. :D Are you guys looking forward to Christmas as much as I do?

We Do: Halloween

Yes, I am fully aware Halloween is already almost a month ago, but considering I promised last week to show you my Halloween outfit - which I'm quite proud of - and some Halloween themed party decorations, here we are. Besides, Halloween is fewer days ago than Christmas is ahead of us - lawyer out.

This year for Halloween, I decided to dress up as a character I made up from combining elements from other disguises and themes. There were really only two conditions: a) wear a wedding dress, and b) paint my face like a skull. Hence, Corpse Bride was born, although not Tim Burton's blueish one. I wore my mom's wedding dress which fit me like a dream, painted my face, added some leaves and dirt (not on the dress though) and I was more than ready to scare some people's pants right off.

After deciding upon the outfit in August or so (seriously), I went through the roof from happiness when I learned I would have an actual Halloween party (!) this year, as my sister decided - with a little bit of convincing from yours truly - that she would throw a Halloween themed birthday party. Even though I transformed into a manic and slightly crazy party planner, our hard work paid off as evidenced by the results below.

I hope you'll get some inspiration for next year and as for now, let the holidays come (but first our little tradition of Sinterklaas, obviously)!
