We like: Our new favorite outfit by SKM

Since the following is about a specific shop in Belgium, the remainder of this post will be in Dutch. Long story short though, we got invited to go and check out a highly renewed and revitalized shop with the mission to compose an outfit right then and there. Conclusion? We loved it!

No regrets. A girl can dream, right.

We wear: Fringes

It's the end of February and my mind is more concerned with short shorts, pastel everything and bare legs than with the actual (read: lousy) weather forecasts. Momma don't wanna wear no black anymore. Sorry, those are lies, momma - I have no idea why I'm referring to myself as momma, so unfitting - loves black outfits, even in the midst of summer. You get what I mean though, SS16 collections are popping up and I'm just sick of winter all of a sudden. Especially since having a look at the new collection at SKIM, which we will tell you all about this weekend! I will miss wearing my long black duster coat though, elegant yet a touch of a homeless vibe, the most perfect combination ever. What will also be missed are beanies, especially on bad hair days or just windy days in general. However, since my favorite beanie got stolen this week, I really think it's time for spring to arrive. The coat and beanies are the only things I'll miss when spring hits us, I promise.

So, where you at, sunshine?

We like: Dolphins & Titi + the German Kid

 Club Titi Tote Bag

I kind of already had a feeling the newest Titi + the German Kid collection would fit me like a figurative glove, and not only because I'm pretty fond of the Belgian brand in general. This particular one, with teasers of dolphins, tennis vibes, soft pink mixed with mint green, caught my attention time after time and is exactly what I want to be wearing all spring and summer long! Goddamn, I like, I like A LOT! I already snagged a shirt home with me on the opening night, but there's this one sweater that was begging to be brought home with me... I didn't cave just yet, but I think I already made peace with the fact that I shall have to have it. What a sacrifice this life can be. Thank God I already got the perfect sneakers coming in soon to fully complete my summer tennis outfit. More on the blog soon!

Check out a glimpse of the newest collection (not all the items we lololoved can be portrayed here, because that would be everything):

We Wear: "These boots are too metal for you"

- quote by Lorenz. He really dislikes these boots and doesn't get why I like them so much. I was in need, in desperate need of some biker boots. But my standards were high and the biker boots crossing my path did not meet up to them. I do not have the easiest figure for boots: they tend to make me really short when the calf does not rise high enough, I didn't want the nose to point upward are be too round and I didn't want boots that would be too plain nor too much (you wouldn't believe the amount of hideous cowboy boots that came along this long long search). And then these Rebecca Minkoff boots passed along during my search with only one downside: my size was no longer available. Now that's a downside you cannot ignore. To cheer myself up I ordered another pair that met up with my standards, was disappointed when they arrived, returned them (thank God for that) and started wining to my boyfriend that the perfect pair of biker boots was out of reach and that life wasn't fair. I wanted to show them to him when suddenly...MY SIZE WAS BACK YO! So that's exactly what I yelled at him before I clicked them to my basket and wallowed myself in happiness and pink clouds.

And they do not disappoint. I love every inch of these boots and I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of them. I also promise to make an outfit with them and to shoot that outfit in daylight instead of underneath a street lantern.

Next story of a long long search: the boyfriend jeans. To be continued!

We wear: Coffee casual

Aah coffee, it wasn't love at first sight - I'll put you in the same category as beer for that matter - but boy oh boy, you are an essential part of my life now. Yes, I can live without my daily cup(s) of coffee but only when I'm on a holiday (yay!) or hungover (less yay...). In all other cases, I need it, I want it, I'll have it, which explains why I couldn't resist this sweatshirt. I'm pretty sure it's meant as a pajama sweatshirt, but let's face it, that's way too hot to sleep in anyway and who needs a shirt screaming for coffee when they're sleeping, amirite?

Another thing I couldn't resist were these boots *insert heart emoji*. I spotted them online, ignored them, put them in the back of my mind and tried to forget about them because they were not particularly versatile and I half expected them to destroy my feet. Before I knew it though, they were discounted and the rest of the story is pretty much history. Turns out they ARE pretty versatile, if you're pretending to be a rock star on a day off, which is generally how I feel, walk and talk. They also reach a comfort level I did not expect at all!  Furthermore, they turned out to be the perfect eye catcher when attending a staff party requiring a 'Black with a touch of bling' dress code. WIN WIN WIN!

We Wear: Chevron pencil

So I was too late with my picture taking and had to do it in the rain on Sunday. And we only had ten minutes to spare, I know I know...apologies! But I'm wearing new stuff, bright new stuff! When I spotted this skirt at Paplou I thought it was going to look hideous on me. I usually buy A-line skirts and avoid the pencil model for hip reasons. But the mirror told me I looked okay, so I believed it and took the skirt home with me. Together with the top. I fitted them together and thought it was a match made in heaven. I'm really looking forward to wear this skirt in summer with bare, tanned (yeah right) legs. Ah summer! Festivals! Beer! Music! Tattoos!

Excuse me while I dream on.
