We Want: Outfit inspiration

Again I failed to make outfit pictures this week. I blame the wintery season and my procrastinating habbits on Sunday. I do have some new items I want to show you, so I made a collage on Polyvore with said items and stuff I still want.

Here's set number one:

Pastel Winter

River Island fake fur coat
€125 - riverisland.com

Zee Gee Why stretchy jeans
€53 - asos.com

Vans floral print sneaker
€55 - nordstrom.com

Artful Blossom Drops - anthropologie.eu
€16 - anthropologie.eu

The earrings, My Little Pony Shirt and Vans are actually mine and I was thinking how I could wear them all together. A pastel winter outfit came to mind. I find my dear black skinnies to harsh on these pastel Vans so I opted for a softer grey, mom jeans from Asos. I am seriously thinking about buying these jeans as my other pairs of jeans from Asos fit like a glove.  And I need a new coat this winter. I really love this white furry one on this outfit, but I'm not sure I'm going to wear it enough. Therefore I don't know yet if I'm actually going to buy it (probably yes).

And here's number two:

Christmas Attire

Jumpers sweater
€22 - romwe.com

Asos top
€28 - asos.com

ASOS fake fur coat
€105 - asos.com

ASOS ribbed beanie hat
€13 - asos.com

ASOS oversized scarve
€23 - asos.com

I am 100% in Christmas-mood. The search for the perfect Christmassy sweater was harder as I anticipated but then Instagram showed me this pretty Romwe piece. It's not really Christmas as it shows Little Red Riding Hood, but it has snowflakes and the right colors so I'm satisfied. I chose the same pants to go with this outfit because I have a feeling I will be buying them soon and will be wearing them non-stop. I have to work the 24th of December and I totally see me wearing a sort of outfit like this to work, you know to spread the Christmas joy.

Next time I promise you I will take outfit pictures again! Making collages like this actually takes up more of my time. :D Are you guys looking forward to Christmas as much as I do?

We Do: Halloween

Yes, I am fully aware Halloween is already almost a month ago, but considering I promised last week to show you my Halloween outfit - which I'm quite proud of - and some Halloween themed party decorations, here we are. Besides, Halloween is fewer days ago than Christmas is ahead of us - lawyer out.

This year for Halloween, I decided to dress up as a character I made up from combining elements from other disguises and themes. There were really only two conditions: a) wear a wedding dress, and b) paint my face like a skull. Hence, Corpse Bride was born, although not Tim Burton's blueish one. I wore my mom's wedding dress which fit me like a dream, painted my face, added some leaves and dirt (not on the dress though) and I was more than ready to scare some people's pants right off.

After deciding upon the outfit in August or so (seriously), I went through the roof from happiness when I learned I would have an actual Halloween party (!) this year, as my sister decided - with a little bit of convincing from yours truly - that she would throw a Halloween themed birthday party. Even though I transformed into a manic and slightly crazy party planner, our hard work paid off as evidenced by the results below.

I hope you'll get some inspiration for next year and as for now, let the holidays come (but first our little tradition of Sinterklaas, obviously)!

We Wear: Blanket blues

Whilst writing this after a long Wednesday, I literally feel the bags under my eyes growing and my body is incessantly craving to answer the call of the couch. Which explains the perhaps weird title choice and actually also the outfit of today's blog post. Yup, comfy and warmly wrapped up does the trick each and every time when feeling a little under the weather. No worries though, it is all my own fault: Depriving yourself from sleep and jumping like a lunatic up and down at a concert is perhaps not the best idea when feeling on the verge of coming down with a cold. But hey, whatever body, my mind is still the master in the end!

I don't often wear outfits like these or at least I didn't use to, but lately I'm drawn to simplicity and warm plain knits, especially in the weekend. And after all, going for a hike in a forest - also something I used to not do - screams comfortable, weather-protective clothes. What do you guys wear on off days when feeling somewhat blue? Dressing up or wrapping up in the most blanket like clothes you can possibly get your hands on?

Knit: Boohoo - Denim: Bershka - Rain boots: Action - Scarf: New Look - Bag: Sister (Hasselt)

PS: Remember last time I was going on and on about Halloween. Well, my costume was a big success. However, I forgot to take actual outfit pictures, but luckily a whole lot of pictures were snapped at the party so I'm sure I can find something decent (let's hope there are pictures of me from that night not drinking, eating or opening my mouth to share some highly interesting thoughts). My point was: Expect a post-Halloween post soon, very soon!

We Wear: Dancing in the dark, blinded by the lights.

Leopard bomber jacket: NastyGal - T-shirt: Ebay - Skinnies, purse: Asos - Chelsea boots: H&M

The title of this post seems appropriate as I was forced to take my outfit pictures in the dark. I usually take them after work on Monday or Tuesday - for some reason it never works out in weekends - but I clearly didn't take the whole it-gets-dark-at-5-thing in account. It's been a challenge, but I actually like these pictures.

I'm finally showing you the t-shirt I bought for the Blondie concert. It's a reproduction of the one she used to wear, only difference is I am wearing panties underneath. Anyhow, I love it and whenever I want to channel my inner Debbie Harry, I slip into this shirt. I combined it with my new favorite pants from Asos and my good old Chelsea boots. To not be a total predictable nag, I decided to wear my furry leopard bomber jacket to top things of. It's so furry and soft and ideal for these days that start to get colder. I know Karolien was wearing a crop top in her previous post, but times they are a-changing and I can feel hell freezing over.

I think it's because of my job, but I spend a lot more time on online shops than I used to (you know what they say about self-wisdom), and that's how I stumbled upon this cute little cat purse on Asos. I clicked it to my shopping cart together with a dress I might wear for New Year's Eve. Excited yet?
